Tensile Strength achieved with Candors Panel Plating

Tensile strength and elongation give you a measuring stick on how rugged your plating is. The higher these are, the more heating cycles your board can take. Candor easily passes conventional board shop tensile strength and elongation.

How Panel Plating Exemplifies Candor's Simplified Manufacturing Process

Design Objectives

Customer Product Benefit

(Functional, Qualitative, Aesthetic)

  • check

Practically perfect plating thickness both in hole and on the surface, with liquid photoresist the conventional issues wtih panel plating are solved. Customer impedance characteristics are easily achievable, unlocking 2% tolerances

  • check

Extremly accurate line widths and tolerances

Mechanical / Electrical Superiority and/or Stability

  • check

Exceeds class 3A elongation, purity, and tensile strength

Operator Friendly

(Simple, Repetitive, Basic Technical Skills)

  • check

Reduction in process calculations thereby increasing ease of use.

Environmentally Friendly

(Reduce, Re-use, Recycle)

  • check

Recycle: Candor Recyles all excess copper

  • check

Reduce: With our easy to control, consistent process we reduce our scrap rate and reduce our material footprint

Regulatory Compliance

(Surpass Restrictions with Less Water)

  • check

Exceeds class 3A with very little water consumption.

Fewer Process Step

(symptom of On-Time Delivery)

  • check

Similar process steps with very little water consumption!

Process Control Advantage

(less monitoring, ease of use)

  • check

with even, uniform plating less monitoring is required.

The Benefits of Panel Plating

Panel plating allows for even copper distribution across the whole manufacturing panel. This allows for consistent design fabrication easily. As a customer, you do not have to worry about prototype variation between designs as they are all processed the same way. The last thing you want to worry about is having too much plating in large through holes, and near failure plating in small vias. Uneven distribution is a critical failure point of pattern plating.
